(Senior) Project Manager - Transformation Management GBS (m/f/d)

MediaMarktSaturn Global Business Services is the central service provider for all national and international companies of the MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group for services in the areas of finance and human resources. GBS Transformation Management (TM) ensures the successful transformation of the Global Business Services initiative within the MMS-Group in close cooperation with the GBS Managing Directors and the technology/product driven as well as agile working units within MMS. TM therefore has a cross-customer, cross-functional and cross-location role (GBS Germany & Spain/Barcelona) and is responsible for the agile project management of both transition teams and business projects:

  • For our group-wide GBS country transition of accounts payable & receivable services into GBS we will set up so-called transition teams, which manage the successful transition of these services
  • For our group-wide GBS business projects we will continuously set up project teams.

Your tasks

  • Professional leadership of cross-functional and country-specific transition / project teams
  • Project Management of country-specific transition / project teams (PMO/TMO lead)
  • Design, planning, control and management reporting of GBS country transition / projects
  • GBS-interface and business partner for the country / project stakeholder
  • Trouble Manager – i.e. taking care of all issues before, during and after country integration / project


  • University degree in Business Administration or similar qualification with International / Agile Project Management focus
  • Experienced agile Project Manager (> 5 years) with expertise in finance / accounting / controlling / management-reporting processes or related businesses
  • Minimum work experience of 5 years in SSC / GBS-organizations
  • Ability to drive and coordinate internationally and/or culturally diverse teams
  • Comfortable to engage with all levels of the organization
  • Strong Communicator & experienced Change / Transformation Manager with a high level of empathy
  • Team player & organizational talent with problem-solving competence (e.g. design thinking)
  • Extensive SAP & Office365 skills
  • High willingness to travel and fluent English and German
